Contacts to other Bereaved Parents
TCF offers local Contacts (befrienders) who listen and share with the bereaved. Parents feel a great relief as they talk about their child - the way he or she died, his or her place in the life of the family, feelings they may find difficult to express elsewhere. Our local Contacts provide a safe environment for bereaved parents and their families to express themselves in the company of others who understand their grief.
Our local Contacts support all parents and families, where children may have died at any age and from any cause.
We can put you in touch with a local Contact who will give you information about the support available to you locally, such as Chapter meetings. They are also there if you would just like to talk. Please Download our Membership Contact Form (word doc) if you would like to be put in touch with someone. You will need to tell us about your circumstances and your locality so that we can put you in touch with the most appropriate contact. You can also give your address and phone number if you wish one of our representatives to contact you this way. After filling up the Membership Contact Form , please submit the form at
Information supplied will always be treated in the strictest confidence and will not be passed to anyone outside TCF.
The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.
