Ongoing Grief Share seminars start September 29, 2007
Hector Guballa and Cathy Babao-Guballa were lead to start a new ministry that seeks to help other bereaved persons move on after a loss. GRIEFSHARE is a 12-week recovery program that tackles the different aspects of the grief experience and provides the participant with tools for moving on. "Understanding a Child's Grief" on September 24, 2007 at 6:30 PM at the Greenhills Christian Fellowship, Ruby corner Garnet Sts, Ortigas Center. The two hour session will be especially helpful to families who have children between the ages of 5-18 who have experienced loss through death, to educators or to anyone interested in helping grieving children. Highlights of the night include readings, music, a slide presentation of our children and sharing time

A slide show (Powerpoint) Presentation will be incorporated into the program. The show will contain photographs of our children with their name and birth and death dates. We feel this simple, yet special way to visually include all our children in the evening. If you would like you child included whether you plan to attend or not, please email a digital version to
All photos must be received by December 1. Pleases not, it will NOT be possible to insert photos on the night of the program. If you don't have a photo of your child due to miscarriage, stillbirth or any other reason, please consider sending in their name, birth and death date and a slide will be created with a butterfly symbol. We hope you will choose to include your child in this special tribute.

December 11, 2005- WorldWide Candle Lighting at 7:00 PM -Light a candle for all the Children who have died . The local ceremony includes the candle-lighting at 7 p.m. in conjunction with the worldwide candle-lighting. The idea is that, as candles burn down in one time zone, they're lit in another, creating a 24-hour memorial. More information on the Worldwide Candle Lighting Event
The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.

We Charge No Dues
WE CHARGE NO DUES- There are no fees, however, we are supported by LOVE GIFTS and contributions, provided in memory of our loved ones, so that we may reach out to others in their bereavement through our chapter resources such as Newsletters, Website, Postage stamps, Lending library and brochures. Chapter Meeting
Our monthly support group meeting is the heart of TCF. These gatherings provide a caring environment in which bereaved parents and adult siblings can talk freely about the emotions and experiences they are going through and receive the understanding support of others who have "been there."
